Description

This is a house located at 466 Lower Broughton Road, built around 1840 in a Neo-Gothic style. The exterior features a rendered finish over brick and is topped with a Welsh slate roof. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window range, with an advanced central gable that contains the entrance. The entrance is set in a projecting flat-roofed porch and features a traceried panelled door within a four-centred arch. On either side of the doorway, there are two-light mullioned and transomed windows with hoodmoulds on both floors, along with a three-light window above the door and a lancet window in the gable apex. The gable is adorned with bargeboards and a pendant finial. The side elevations include a three-light traceried mullioned window above a large three-light canted mullioned and transomed bay window, with a lancet window in the apex. The end wall stacks are truncated, and there is a rear wing. The interior has not been inspected.
