Description
This is a house built around 1840, located at 453 Lower Broughton Road in Salford. The exterior features lined out stucco over brick and a hipped Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range, with a prominent squared full-height bay on the right and a central entrance. The doorway is set within a flat-roofed porch and has been renewed, framed by an architrave with Tuscan pilasters. There is a renewed window to the left and another above. The advanced bay on the right has paired windows separated by a shaft acting as a mullion, with a tall 15-pane sash window above, both adorned with fretted blind canopies. The eaves cornice is moulded and projects over the right-hand bay. There are side wall stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
