Description

This is a house dating from approximately the 1840s and 1850s, located on Russell Terrace, Royal Leamington Spa. Built of reddish-brown brick with painted stucco facades, it features a Welsh slate roof with fish-scale detailing. The house is two storeys high and has two first-floor windows, with each window bay projecting and being gabled; the bay to the right is wider. The first floor has two 6/6 sash windows with chamfered surrounds and hollow-chamfered hoodmoulds. The ground floor features a central entrance with a multi-paned door within a projecting gabled porch, which has a double hollow-chamfered surround and a 4-centred arch. The ground floor windows are also 6/6 sashes with margin-lights, set in chamfered surrounds and with hollow-chamfered hoodmoulds. Tall end stacks are topped with cornices. The interior has not been inspected. The building contributes to a notable group of buildings in the area.
