Description
Brooklands is a house dating to around 1850. It is constructed with ashlar facing and has a Welsh slate roof, built in an Italianate style. The house is two storeys high with a four-window front, and a square plan, with a projecting gabled wing to the left of the entrance. A doorway is located in the angle of this gable, featuring a round-arched porch. To the right of the porch are paired four-pane sash windows. The four upper windows are also four-pane sashes, with the two central ones being paired. A paired round-arched sash window, divided by a shaft, projects from the ground floor of the gable. All windows have prominent architraves. The rear elevation features pedimented windows. Canted bay windows are present on the garden front. A central belvedere has arcading and a shallow pyramidal roof with a weather vane. Axial stacks are also present.
