Description

This is a house dating to around 1830. It was originally stuccoed over brick, with a low-pitched roof of Welsh slate. The main block is two storeys high and has three bays, with a projecting lower section featuring a hipped roof across the ground floor. The west elevation has a central pair of French doors and two-pane sash windows on either side of the lower section, with blind windows above. A recessed, three-storey service range sits to the left, containing a twelve-pane and an eight-pane sash window to the ground floor, and a single three-pane sash window above. The garden front features a four-window range with four-pane sash windows incorporating horizontal divisions and moulded architraves, including a full-height segmental bay on the right-hand side. Axial stacks are present. A single-storey range connects the house to No. 128 Abbey Foregate, and the two buildings were constructed as a matching pair.
