Description

The mile post at the junction with Bell Lane in Shrewsbury dates from the early 19th century, although it may not be in its original location. It has a triangular shape with a sloping top panel. The embossed lettering on the post indicates the following distances: London 150 miles, County Hall 6 furlongs 174 yards, and Shifnal 17 miles 0 furlongs.
