Description

The former punishment block at the Armoury, built around 1806 for the Shrewsbury Armoury, is a brick structure with a hipped Welsh slate roof. It is currently used as a coal store. The building features doors in the gable walls with wide splayed heads, although one of these doors is now blocked. There are also additional blocked openings in the side walls, which are partially hidden by later additions. A central stack is present on the roof.
