Description
Nos. 1 and 2 Pot House Lane are two cottages built in 1809, as indicated by the datestone. They are constructed from watershot stone and feature a stone slate roof. Each cottage is double-depth, one bay wide, and two storeys tall, with the entrance located to the right. There is a small lean-to against the right gable of each cottage. The doors have square-cut monolithic jambs and lintels, while the ground floor has flat-faced mullion windows with two and three lights. Originally, the first floor had four-light "weaver's windows," but two lights have been blocked in each case.
