Description

151 and 152 Syke Road are two cottages built around 1810. They are constructed from watershot stone and topped with a slate roof. Each cottage is two stories tall and has a double-depth layout; No. 151 is two rooms wide, while No. 152 is one room wide. The cottages feature three-piece stone jambs and square-cut lintels, along with stone quoins. The mullioned windows have flat faces, with configurations of two, two, and one light on the ground floor, and four and eight lights (two of which are blocked) on the upper floor, all set beneath a sill band. These cottages are said to have originally been back-to-back.
