Description

This stone cottage, located to the north-east of Ash Cottage, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed squared rubble and features a graduated stone slate roof. The cottage is a double-depth, one-bay house with two storeys. It has large quoins on the left side and a door with a chamfered surround, a segmental head, and a cyclopean lintel. The front and rear of the cottage have three-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows. The right gable is rendered brick due to the demolition of the adjoining barn and shippon. This building is included for its group value.
