Description
Ash Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from squared rubble of varying thickness and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has a layout of 2 by 1 bays and stands two storeys high, with stone quoins at the corners. There are two doors; one has a shaped chamfered lintel but is now blocked, while the other has a dressed surround and a chamfered lintel. On the first floor, there is a two-light flat-faced mullion window. The gable end has a stack with water-tabling and an oversailing course. At the rear, there are three and five-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows, along with an eight-light window on the first floor that features a king mullion.
