Description

SADDLEWORTH BACK O'THE LOW SD 90 NE ROAD (south side) Water Head

3/5 Pastures - Farmhouse - II Farmhouse. Deeds said to date from 1764. Hammer-dressed watershot stone with slate roof. 3 storeys and 1 bay. Quoins. Inserted door to left. 3 and 1-light ground floor windows (and a C20 window) and 8-light windows with king mullions to the upper floors (total of 3 mullions removed and 5 blocked lights). All windows have recessed cavetto- moulded mullions. Blocked taking-in door. Brick gable chimney stack. Blocked gable entrance with keystone lintel. Door to rear with square-cut surround and C20 porch. Two 3- light first floor windows (each with 1 mullion missing) and two 4-light second floor windows all as above.
