Description
No. 3 Thorpe Lane is a house that was originally a house and cottage, dating from the late 18th century and 19th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has a two-bay, three-storey design, with a former two-storey cottage on the left side. The central entrance door has a square-cut surround and is flanked by four-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows on each floor. The smaller bay to the left includes a 19th-century door surround with a keystone and fanlight, along with a three-light window on the first floor. There are also two-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows in the gable and at the rear of the building.
