Description
Slades Barn is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building is double-depth and two rooms wide, with two storeys. The south side has quoins and a notable 9-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion window with king mullions on each floor. There are two chimney stacks, one of which is made of brick. To the right gable, there is a square-cut door surround and two 2-light windows. The north side includes two 3-light windows and a 4-light window, along with a blocked taking-in door and a blocked door that has a square-cut surround. The adjoining brick barn is not considered of special interest.
