Description
Moorview, also known as Running Hill Boarding Kennels, is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has a double-depth plan with two bays and three storeys. Each floor includes two 4-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows. The gables are coped and have kneelers, with gable chimney stacks. There are two doors with square-cut surrounds on the left gable, and a taking-in door on the right gable, which has a small 20th-century addition. The gable windows are 2-light. For much of the 20th century, the building was used as an isolation hospital.
