Description
Wood Barn Farmhouse and the adjoining barn date from the mid-18th century and have undergone later alterations. They are constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and feature a graduated stone slate roof. The farmhouse has a double-depth, two-storey plan with two bays, and the barn is located to the right. The building has quoins and displays three and five-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows on the ground floor, with a seven-light window on the first floor. There are gable chimney stacks and two and three-light gable windows. The entrance is located next to the house in the adjoining barn, where the doors at the front and rear have chamfered surrounds. The barn includes a blocked cart entry and additional openings on the gable. The rear of the barn shows earlier features, including two, three, and five-light double-chamfered cavetto-moulded windows, as well as a blocked taking-in door.
