Description

This is an early 18th-century and late 18th-century farmhouse with an attached barn. The farmhouse is constructed from hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. It is a double-pile building arranged under a single roof with two bays of uneven width. The south facade has a doorway slightly set back, with a small gabled porch; one moulded kneeler remains on the porch. To the left of the doorway is a mullioned window of three lights, with a similar flat-faced mullioned window above. To the right of the porch, there is a larger bay containing a single double-chamfered window on the ground floor, and a chamfered mullioned window of seven lights above. The upper window retains its mullions but has square reveals. The building features watershot masonry, quoins, and a projecting moulded stone gutter. The left return wall retains double-chamfered mullioned windows of two and three lights. There are two gable stacks and an additional stack on the ridge. Attached to the right-hand side of the farmhouse is a barn with a semi-circular cart entry and a single rectangular ventilator above. The barn has a coped gable with kneelers and a lower roof line than the farmhouse.
