GV II

Built as bank, now a college. 1849. Ashlar, rusticated to ground floor, and with slate roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 5-window range, with doorways up steps each side, and recessed in flat arched openings with stressed voussoir heads. 3 central windows also with flat heads with heavy stressed voussoirs. 12-pane sash windows above, the central 3 arcaded, recessed in round-arched architraves with imposts and keystones. Heavy quoins and cornice. End wall stacks. 2-storey low pavilions each side, with round arched window and stepped parapet with ball finial. Upper storey stepped back (and possibly a later addition). INTERIOR: not inspected.
