Description
Yates' Wine Lodge is a wine lodge built in 1906, constructed from terracotta with a slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and features a six-window range divided into a pattern of 1-4-1, with narrower outer bays that form angle towers topped with domed roofs. The central bay has a segmentally pedimented gable.
On the ground floor, there are outer doorways flanked by single-storey extensions that have coped parapets linking to the main block. To the left, there is a wide round-arched window, and to the right, a small inserted window. The central area has four arcaded round-arched windows between the doorways. The first floor has similar arcaded windows, while the second floor features a central oriel window divided by four pilaster mullions, flanked by paired oculi. The second-floor windows have moulded panelled aprons, and the oculi are adorned with swags. Above, there is a continuous string band, followed by enriched scrollwork on the pediment of the central gable. The interior has not been inspected.
