Description

This is a barn located at Bryan Hey Farmhouse, likely built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared stone and features a slate roof. The exterior includes a loose-box or stable in the upper section, characterized by a plain architrave around the doorway and window. There are full-height double doors, which may lead to a threshing floor, situated in an outshut porch. Beyond this, there is a single window and some vents. Inside, the barn contains three 18th-century pegged king-post roof trusses, each supported by two tiers of curved fishbone struts.
