Description
Bryan Hey Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared stone and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features a three-window range that is extended by an additional single-window range, probably added in the 18th century. The limit of the original structure is indicated by a storey porch that has an ornate, heavy ovolo moulded off-centre archway, along with a stepped round-headed mullioned window with a hoodmould beneath the gable. To the left of the porch, there are two 4-light mullioned windows on the ground floor and three above, with the upper windows featuring round-arched outer lights. To the right of the porch, a two-storey extension, which was formerly the dairy, is present. Outbuildings form a rear wing of the house, complete with an external stair to the loft and plain stone surrounds to the windows. End wall stacks mark the boundary of the original building. The interior has not been inspected.
