House. c1831, altered. Coursed and squared stone with hipped slate roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3-window range with central entrance in added porch. Flanking windows renewed in original openings with wedge lintels. Casement windows possibly c1930, with leaded lights and some stained glass. Gable chimneys. INTERIOR: not inspected. The house forms part of the model village of Barrow Bridge, established in 1831 by Robert Gardner to serve the nearby Dean Mills, which he also built.
