Description
This is a group of four houses located at 55-58 Barrow Bridge Road, built around 1831 and altered in the 20th century. The houses are constructed from squared and watershot coursed stone, with No. 58 being painted, and they feature Welsh slate roofs. Nos. 56-58 are arranged in a row facing the street, while No. 55 is a rear wing. The layout is L-shaped, with No. 56 being double fronted and Nos. 57 and 58 being single fronted. The exterior is two storeys high and has a seven-window range facing the street, which includes an inserted window above a doorway, and a three-window range at the rear. The windows and doors have been renewed within their original openings; Nos. 57 and 58 have tall rectangular windows, all with plain stone lintels. The houses feature ridge chimneys. The interior has not been inspected.
