Description

A row of four houses, numbered 58 to 61, dating to circa 1836. The houses are constructed of coursed squared sandstone with an ashlar plinth and dressings; some of the lower courses are rendered. They have a Welsh slate roof with ashlar-corniced yellow brick chimneys. The houses are two storeys and span nine bays in total. There are steps leading to four-panelled doors, each with an overlight recessed under a flat stone lintel. The sash windows have glazing bars and are topped with projecting stone sills, all sitting beneath similar stone lintels. Stone gutter brackets are also present. This group value reflects their contribution to the architectural character of the area.
