Cottage, mid C17, with brick-nogged oak small-frame on sandstone plinth; grey slate roof, formerly thatched. Brick extension of 1 bay to rear. The frames of the long side walls (the gable is to the road) are almost complete, with Roman numerals to timbers at joints. The front has been rebuilt twice: in brick C19 and restored to oak frame late C20. The interior: is altered, but with positions of lobby-entrance and former ingle-nook visible, and main oak beams re-used. Listed for group value only.
