Description
Bellevue Villa is a 17th-century cottage featuring an oak small-frame construction with rendered brick panels. The building has late 20th-century rendered brick wings and a rear lean-to extension. It has a renewed grey slate roof with one brick chimney located behind the ridge and another at the left end. The door and windows have been renewed but are in keeping with the original style. Originally a two-storey cottage with two bays, it has been enlarged by adding one bay at each end and extending the rear pitch of the roof backwards. Inside, the oak frame of the rear wall and the posts of the gable walls have been restored and are exposed. The restored ingle-nook includes a chamfered oak bressumer.
