Description
Thelwall Old Hall is a house that likely dates back to the 17th century. It is constructed of sandstone and has a pebble-dashed front, topped with a gabled stone-slate roof. The building has two storeys and features five windows, along with a central two-storey porch and a cross-wing on the right side. On the upper storey, there are two mullioned windows to the left of the porch and one above the porch, with the two on the left consisting of three lights; only the second window from the left retains its small-pane casements. The lower windows to the left of the porch and all the windows to the right have been altered with late 20th-century wooden casements. The entrance door is made of five wedge-shaped oak boards and is fitted with old wrought-iron hinges. The interior, which has not been inspected, is reported to contain some oak beams but lacks any major features.
