Description

Cavendish Farm House is a farmhouse that is said to date from 1622, although it has undergone significant renewal of stonework and alterations. The building features red sandstone walls and a slate roof, topped with three brick chimneys. It is designed in an L-shape, comprising two storeys and an attic. The entrance front includes a doorway located at the angle of the projecting wing. This wing displays a string course between the storeys and features a 10-light double chamfered mullion and transom window with a hoodmould on each storey. The other windows in the house are mostly three-light and chamfered. The interior has also been altered over time.
