Description

The Grange is a house dating from 1766, as indicated by a date in the pediment. It is constructed of roughcast brick with a slate roof. The house has two storeys and four bays. It features a stone plinth, rusticated quoins, and a stone doorcase with a pulvinated frieze and decorative inscribed tympanum. The front door is six-panelled, with four glazed panels and a rectangular fanlight above. A band runs along the first floor sill, and there is an eaves cornice. Two later splayed bay windows have been added to the ground floor, housing sashes, while the other sashes are set in reveals. Stone copings are present on the gable ends of the roof.
