Description

The Nook is a mid-18th century house located on the south side of Weston Road, Higher Runcorn. It is constructed of roughcast stone and brickwork, with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has six bays. A stone doorcase features a moulded architrave and a segmental stone arch with a key stone. The front door is six-panelled, with fielded upper panels and a radial bar fanlight. Sash windows with glazing bars are present, although some window openings have been built up. The rear of the house shows exposed stonework, and the roof has a sandstone ridge.
