Description

The barn south of the Old Hall dates from around 1607 and has undergone some alterations. It is constructed from red sandstone and features a slate roof. The barn is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The walls are made of coursed sandstone blocks and have heavy stone lintels. There is a single bricked-up mullion window remaining at first floor level in the west gable, while all other door and window openings have been built up in masonry or altered. The roof has gable copings and a blue tile ridge. Additionally, there is a later brick addition at the rear of the barn.
