Description
This building is a barn and stable located 20 meters west of Hodge Lane Farmhouse, dating from the mid-19th century, with repairs made in the late 20th century. It is constructed of orange brick in English garden wall bond and has a Welsh slate roof. The barn has a long rectangular shape and features a two-storey, six-bay east front. Each bay includes a stable door with stone blocks for the hinges and catch, along with a fixed four-pane window, both topped with segmentally arched brick heads. Above each bay is a circular pitchhole with a stone surround. The rear of the building has a similar ground storey, but with ventilation slots above. This barn is included for its group value.
