Description
No. 3 and 5 Church Lane is a pair of cottages that date back to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The building features a combination of timber framing and rendered brick, topped with a thatched roof and two gable brick chimneys, one of which projects. The structure is two stories high with a three-bay front. Only the wall plate of the original front remains visible. The end bays have small pane casements with two and three lights, and the upper windows are partially covered by the thatch. There is a near central 20th-century door set in a wooden frame. The right end gable displays a queen post truss, and there are extensions at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
