Description

The building at 3 and 5 High Street, Weaverham, is a timber-framed structure with brick nogging on a stone base, originally dating to the later 17th century. It has undergone alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The roof is now sheeted, and a central brick chimney rises from the ridge. The front is two stories and four bays wide. The left-hand bay has a three-light horizontal sliding sash window with glazing bars on the ground floor, and a two-light casement window above. Two board doors are set within wooden frames in the centre of the building, the upper door featuring a rudimentary fanlight. A four-light shop window has been inserted into the right-hand bay. The interior has not been inspected.
