Description

Nos. 14 and 16 High Street are two former houses, now used as two houses and a bank, dating from the early to mid-18th century with alterations from the mid-19th century. They are constructed of red brick in English and Flemish garden wall bond, topped with a Welsh slate roof and featuring two brick chimneys. The building has a two-storey, six-bay front with a plain band at the first floor. The windows are four-pane sashes, each with stone lintels and sills. No. 16 has a half-glazed door with a cambered brick head and a blocked fanlight, while no. 14 features a six-panelled door with a basket arched gauged and rubbed brick head. The buildings are included for their group value.
