Description
Rock Cottage and Rock Farm is a house and cottage built in 1680, constructed from coursed tooled red sandstone with a grey slate roof. The building has two storeys and features three windows. There is a five-panel door with an architrave, set beneath a lintel inscribed with "DW:1 6TBM.80:WW". The windows are 9-pane casements, dating from the 19th century or later. There are two brick chimneys, one located on the ridge opposite the door and the other on the left gable. To the left, there is a projecting one-room wing with a catslide roof. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted that there are ovolo beams and oak joists visible in the room of the left wing, as well as ovolo beams and oak joists in the main wing. The staircase has been renewed.
