Description

This is a row of three cottages located on Main Street, Frodsbam, dating back to the 17th century and subsequently altered. The front of the cottages is pebbledashed on an oak frame, with brick rebuilt ends, and they have a graded grey slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high with three windows. Numbers 53 and 55 (the left and centre cottages) have cross-gabled roofs, while the roof of number 57 runs parallel with the street. A jettied gable, covered in pebbledash, is present on number 53. The windows are 6-pane casements, and the doors have been replaced. Brick chimneys are located laterally to the left, on the ridge opposite the door of number 57, and as a gable chimney to the right. The interior includes oak 1st floor beams and joists. An inglenook is situated in number 55 behind the lobby entrance to number 57.
