Description

The War Memorial, built in 1919, is made of sandstone and stands on Overton Hill in Frodsham. It features a podium with three steps leading up to a square plinth that is inscribed with the names of the deceased. The plinth is topped with a vermiculated unmoulded pediment on each side and an upper plinth that supports an obelisk. The obelisk has three successive rebates near the top. This memorial is approximately 11 meters high and serves as a prominent landmark on the hilltop.
