Description

Overton House is a mid-18th century house in Frodsbam. It is constructed of Flemish bond brown brick with a grey slate roof, standing three storeys high plus a basement. The basement walls on the left side of the doorway are of painted sandstone and brick. The house features a sandstone plinth, painted stone rusticated quoins, a cornice, keystone-and-voussoir lintels, and plain projecting cills. The front door is a 6-panel door set within an eared architrave, sheltered by an early 20th-century lean-to porch with a green slate roof supported on wooden brackets. The windows are 4-pane sashes, replacements from the 19th century. The gables are coped and contain flush chimneys. The interior remains uninspected.
