Description
The K4 telephone kiosk, located north of the railway bridge on Church Street in Frodsham, is a Grade II listed structure designed in 1927 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. This kiosk is made of cast iron and features a glazed door and glazed sides, all with small panes that reflect Georgian proportions. It includes a letter-box and two pre-decimal coinage stamp machines in the rear, which are integral to its design, along with a bracket for a lamp that has since been removed. This kiosk is a rare and well-preserved example of the "Giant" telephone kiosk, which is significantly larger than later designs and includes postal facilities.
