Description

Outside Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with a mid-18th century addition. It is constructed of rendered brick and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features an entrance front with four bays. The doorway is located to the right of centre and is topped by a 19th-century gabled porch, with a half-glazed door. There are two 19th-century two-light casement windows to the left of the door. A projecting band runs between the floors, and there is a pilaster buttress to the left. On the first floor, there is a three-light window on the left and a two-light window on the right. To the right of this is the slightly projecting mid-18th century addition, which has pilaster buttresses on both sides. This addition includes two two-light casement windows on the ground floor and two similar windows on the first floor.

Inside, the sitting room features raised and fielded panelling, a bolection moulded chair rail, and two arched niches on the south wall flanked by fluted pilasters. The ceiling has chamfered beams with decorative end stops and a moulded wooden cornice above the panelling. The doors on the ground and first floors are made of six raised and fielded panels. A single-flight staircase has column-on-vase balusters and square newels with reeded corners. The attic is accessed by plank doors with H-hinges.
