Description

The Old Vicarage is a former vicarage, now a house, dating from the late 17th century with a 19th-century addition. It is constructed of whitewashed English garden wall bond brick with a thatched roof. The house is two storeys high. The front facing the road has two bays. A central, 20th-century lean-to porchway of brick with a thatched roof provides access. A single-pane casement window is located on the road front, and to the left of the door is a return. Three-light, cambered-headed casement windows flank the porch. A band of three bricks runs horizontally between the floors. Two first-floor windows, each with three casement lights, are situated above. A chimney stack is visible on the right-hand gable end. A later lean-to outhouse is attached to the right, connected to a church room (which is not considered to be of special interest). A 19th-century ground floor canted bay window is present on the left-hand gable end. A later wing extends to the right of the rear elevation.
