Description
This barn, located 20 metres east of Marshgate Farm, is a Grade II listed building, likely dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of brown brick and features a grey slate roof with coped gables and kneelers. There is a pentice-roofed porch that is three-quarters full height, which leads to the former threshing floor. The barn has a boarded door and a boarded loading door to the loft. The ground floor includes a door and small openings, with two arched openings in the right gable and two loading doors under wedge lintels leading to the loft. The gable ends have vents arranged in diamond and split-diamond patterns. The interior has been altered.
