4/49 Milestone 25m south of Whitehall Bridge.

Milestone: early C19. Ashlar pink sandstone. Slab slightly triangular in section and with a triangular top. Left face reads "To Congleton 11 miles" and right face "To Wilmslow 1 mile" in well cut, seriffed script, now becoming worn.
