Description
The Cottage is a mid-18th century cottage located on Trafford Road in Alderley Edge. It is constructed of red-purple brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with occasional yellow bricks used as headers. The roof is covered in Welsh slate, and there are two gable chimneys made of brick. The cottage has a symmetrical three-bay front. The end bays feature tall, two-light windows with chamfered mullions; these windows have a brick wedge shape above a thin stone lintel and a stone sill. A projecting central porch with a gabled roof and stone-flagged covering completes the front facade.
