Description

Beehive Cottages, now comprising four back-to-back cottages, dates from the 18th century and was originally a Poor House. The building has gabled ends facing the road. It is constructed of red brick, with three storeys and three casement windows on the front elevation. There are three simple wooden doorcases, each with a pediment, and a single 19th-century canted bay window. The cottages feature panelled doors and plain eaves, covered with slates. The building may be of sociological interest.
