Description

The pedestal tomb of Sarah Mellor and others, dated 1841, is located in Rainow. It features a square sandstone block set on a moulded plinth, with inscribed recessed moulded panels. The tomb has a projecting weathered capstone topped by a plain obelisk. It is the central one of three pedestal tombs and is prominently situated in the garden.
