Description

The Smithy is an early 18th-century farm building located on Manchester Road in Plumley. It features a timber frame with rendered infill and a thatched roof, and is a single storey in height. The front facing the road has a brick plinth and consists of nine cells of small framing, with a door positioned to the right of the center and two one-light windows. The left-hand gable end displays four by two cells of small framing, which includes angle braces and a v-strut to the gable.
