Description

Winterbottom Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse featuring a timber frame with a stone plinth and brick infill, topped with a slate roof that was originally thatched. The building consists of two cells and stands two storeys high. The north gable end displays six by three cells of small framing, with angle struts at the corners and a queen-post roof also supported by angle struts. There is some evidence of framing on other sides of the building, but this is obscured by 19th and 20th-century additions.
