Description
AA telephone box at Mere Corner, built around 1956, is a square timber structure with a zinc roof, standing approximately 10 feet high. Three sides feature tongue and grooved vertical boarding, while the fourth side has a flush door. It has a plain band at the top and gables on each side, each displaying an AA plaque. The roof is cross gabled and hipped, with slightly overhanging eaves. The front of the box has a plaque inscribed 'Box 372'. This box is one of the few remaining timber telephone boxes in England.
